Lebanese Man Drives Car with only Solar Power

Lebanon, like many countries, have severe have severe fuel shortage/cost. One man has an answer–for him. He uses solar power to run his car instead of gasoline. If he an engineer? No. He’s a mechanic.

This raises the question, why aren’t more car makers trying this approach?. If he can do it why not everyone else. Maybe because the fossil fuel industry doesn’t want it to happen? And governments are heavily influenced by the power of the oil industry.
