Trump’s Justice Department considering dropping charges against Mayor Eric Adams

You can almost bet on this happening. Adams didn’t spend all that time cozying up to Trump for no reason:

The Justice Department has had discussions about the future of the corruption case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams — including the possibility of dropping the case all together, sources familiar with the talks told ABC News.

No final decision has been made and the talks between the main Justice Department and prosecutors with the Southern District of New York have been preliminary, the sources said.

Adams showed at Trump’s inaugural but was humiliated, by getting a last-minute invite:

Eric Adams raced down to Washington, DC, in the wee hours of Monday morning to attend President Trump’s inauguration — but we hear he was relegated to overflow seating once he arrived.

A political insider told Page Six said that, “While other pols including New York’s own Hakeem Jefferies, Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton mixed and mingled with bigwigs in the main rotunda, eagle-eyed observers noticed one New Yorker noticeably absent from the room [where] the swearing-in took place.”

Adams cancelled appearances at MLK jr events just to be with Trump, to save his skin:

Adams skipped several Martin Luther King Day ceremonies to attend President Trump’s inauguration. A choice he insisted Dr King would have approved.
